INFORMATION REPORTS

We have been learning how to write Information Reports. Thanks Heath and Mia for some examples!

HEDGEHOGS
A hedgehog is a mammal that hibernates.
A hedgehog looks like a furry ball with spikes and  a fluffy tummy and they’re brown. They like eating worms slugs caterpillars and bugs. They live in burrows and nests under leaves bushes trees and buildings. They move on four feet. They can get fleas and disease in their spikes and they eat grass and bugs.
I think hedgehogs are cute little things that carry disease around.

Hedgehogs are mammals.
Hedgehogs are spikey and they are small. At the end of the spikes there are white bits. Hedgehogs eat earth worms beetles slugs snails and food scraps. Hedgehogs live under hedges under piles of leaves and compost. Hedgehogs are fat and slow. If they go in water they just drown.
I think hedgehogs are cute and endangered.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ABI.
TURNING 8 TODAY.
HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY!!

SNOW AT SCHOOL!!! READ SOME OF OUR PIECES OF WRITING ABOUT IT.GIVE THE WRITERS SOME FEEDBACK!!

Remember the day of the snow. The snow looks like vanilla icecream, dancing across the air softly, coming down and fading on the cold icey slippery ground as more and more comes down, and this time it is thick. It sparkles like crystals and when it stops the ice on the ground crunches up and then it starts falling again.

Remember the day of the snow. White beautiful freezing flakes on the ground. Melting like powder. Frozen pools, slippery stairs, flakey grounds. You can make snowballs and snowmen.

Remember the day of the snow. It was so beautiful I wanted to eat it. The fluffy snow is like icecream. The soft wild snow curls around my head but then it softly touches the hard floor.

Room 18 Authors: Check out these great pieces of writing by Room 18 authors!

The big cows were having a nosey at everybody in the car. Then they were walking. Then the cows were secretly seeing them but the people didn't see the cows. Then they saw them on the kayak. One morning these two cows were looking over the bank and then heaps came and noticed some kayakers and then the cows said "What the!" After a while the other cows came over to see what was happening. Before long a whole army of cows lined up on the bank and they were watching.

One night an ugly camel got up to some  mischief by sticking its head through the window of a car. The camel licked the rear vision mirror. The camel catches sight of its beautiful reflection in the mirror. He thinks he is handsome. He could be Prince Caspian's camel.
