The Big Wind

Enjoy some of our writing on the very windy weather we had today!!
THE BIG WIND
I remember the wind as it chased the leaves throught the trees. I thought that a tree would fall down. Suddenly an enormous leaf landed at my shoes. I was very surprised. Then a little one on my notebook. I laughed. Then a gust of wind blew me back. I had to blink about five times before seeing again. Then the whole class stood up and moved. Then an extraordinary thing happened. I fell over. The wind had done it! Now that is a windy day!!!

I remember watching  the trees swooshing from side to side. It was freezing. It was picking up branches. The wind was snapping branches off the trees. I heard crashing.

I remember standing watching the trees blowing hard.The wind was tipping and breaking branches. Leaves are flying in the air. The wind lifts up leaves. Back down they go. They might blow me away. It feels scary when it blows hard.
